Sound is ancestral. Noise is not.
For many things to exist, in mythological (e.g., the creation of the universe) or factual terms and events (e.g., sonar, spectrograms, echocardiograms), sound is fundamental.
Thanks to the relevance of the interspecies and human/hon-human discourse, it is now time to join interdisciplinary efforts to address threats and envision solutions involving sound ancestrality, and the best place to start is a participatory table where the most important voices come from those who have inherited the skills to properly listen (and talk) to non-human beings and nature. That is how Opus Whales also aims at giving voice to traditional communities, human and non-human.

Mission
Virtuous sonospheres could be a “matter of concern” (in Bruno Latour terms), meaning an issue of common interest in which dialogue and listening capacities are key for interspecies co-existence and survival.
Opus Whales thus, is committed to inspire acoustic gestures that bring our human behaviour closer to a better interspecies communication.
Vision
For Opus Whales, virtuous communication among human and non-human species is key for planetary survival. As species, we shall be able to minimize the incidence of our progress and evolution onto other species.
